Are your products really made by hand?
Yes! All of our products are made by hand in small batches in our production studio in Castle Rock, Colorado.
How do you develop your recipes?
All of our recipes are developed based on the needs of our friends and family, former patients, and us. We have always had sensitive, combination skin that needs to withstand an active Colorado lifestyle. Our cooking spice recipes our developed by our love of cooking and our inherited love of spices through our Indian heritage.
Do you test on animals?
We do not support animal testing, nor do we test our products on animals.
Are your products vegan?
Our lip balms, foot + hand salve, all-in-one salve, all-in-one travel butter, lavender sugar scrub, Himalayan pink salt scrub all contain beeswax. Our candles are all beeswax as well. All of our other products are vegan.
What about fragrances and chemicals in your personal care products?
We do not use any synthetic fragrances. Our products are scented only with the ingredients themselves, and essential oils. Our products are all phthalate, paraben, sulfate, dye, and formaldehyde free.
Why do you use dark green packaging for your personal care products?
Our dark green jars are 100% recyclable PET plastic, and BPA and phthalates free. Our dark green color protects the oils in our products from photo damage, extending their shelf life. The PP plastic of our lip balm tubes is polypropylene, BPA, phthalate free, and 100% recyclable.
What is the best way to store your personal care products?
We recommend storing our products in a cool, dry space, out of direct sunlight. Extreme heat can impact the consistency of our products, especially our whipped body butters. Keeping water out of our products will also extend their shelf life. Because of their intended uses, we recognize that our pink salt scrub and possibly our signature salve will get water in them. For this reason we have formulated these products to withstand moisture.
What is the shelf life of your personal care products?
Because our personal care products are all natural, they have a shelf life of about 9 to 12 months. We do add Tocopherols (Vitamin E) to all our products to slow oxidation.
What if my product melts?
If you find your body butter has been exposed to high heat or direct sunlight and has melted, place in fridge to reconstitute. Once solidified, you may briefly whip with a hand mixer to regain a whipped consistency.
How soon can I expect my order?
We typically ship the majority of our orders within 72 hours, excluding weekends and holidays. Orders are shipped Monday thru Thursday. However, because our products are handcrafted in small batches and personally packaged, our production can sometimes take a little longer. Most orders are received within 5-10 days of order placement. If your order is going to take longer, we will let you know. If you need to rush your order, please let us know and we will be more than happy to work with you.
What is your standard shipping policy?
Our standard flat rate shipping rate is $7.95 for orders under $55. For orders greater than $55 we offer free standard shipping. For standard flat rate shipping and standard free shipping on orders greater that $55, we will ship your packages in the most economical way possible. If you would like expedited delivery, please choose our priority two day shipping option. At this time we only ship within the continental United States.
Do you ship internationally?
At this time we are unable to ship internationally.
What is your refund/return policy?
Because our products are handcrafted in small batches, we cannot accept returns or exchanges. This policy ensures that we are able to maintain freshness and small batch production of our products. We are also unable to refund or accept returns on gift cards or shipping charges.
Orders can only be cancelled or modified if they have not yet been processed for shipping. Please note that a 10% restocking fee will be charged for all cancelled orders. Once an order has been placed, shipping charges will not be refunded. This charge is used to cover our fees incurred by processing electronic payments.
What if I have an issue with my order?
We want you to love our products as much as we do. We strive to ensure every order meets our highest quality standards. If you are not satisfied in any way, please contact us as soon as possible and we will work with you to find an agreeable solution.
What if my order was not received or received damaged?
Please email email@example.com to report any damages or non receipt.
Please report damages within 24 hours of delivery receipt. We will require documentation, so please be prepared to send e-mailed photos of the damage. If we are able to verify the damage, we will send a replacement to you at no additional cost.
Please note that we do not offer replacements for incorrect addresses or shipments shown as "delivered" in the tracking update. However, we will do our best to work with you should such points of confusion arise. If a shipment was sent to an incorrectly entered address, the cost of the replacement product and the cost to reship is the sole responsibility of the purchaser/recipient. Free standard shipping over $55 does not apply in this case, and we will charge you all shipping costs to reship.
Do you accept custom gift basket orders?
Yes! Please call or email us and we will be happy to work with you to create your ideal gift basket. Prices will vary depending on request.
What are your give parties?
Do you have a cause that is important to you? Do you love our products? Then our give parties are for you. Our give parties enable you to host a fundraising party with our products. We will donate 10% of our proceeds from your party to a registered non profit of your choice. If you are located within the Denver metro area, we will set up our product display at your chosen location. Outside of Colorado, we are happy to set up an online sales event.
